Deaf and the Society

It was always a misconception that deaf people are dumb. People who have never encountered nor experienced even an hour with them will most likely say that deaf people are dumb maybe because we think that they can not hear and automatically can not speak as well and leads to the conclusion that they lack 1 or more sense(s) in their bodies limiting them to learn and live a normal life. In the same case, we often think that they can not understand us so we just ignore them and tell to our seves and others "why waste our time even trying to communicate with them.." so we leave them with their fellow deaf group mates.---- Totally, this is so wrong.. All of this practices and beliefs are misinterpretations because of  wrong practices and lack of proper education in the society. In fact, deaf people understand hearing ones and in the other end, hearing people will never understand deaf language unless they take time and effort to learn. This just proves that they are not dumb or stupid as many people connote but they are a lot smarter and far more intelligent than most of the normal hearing ones. They get to understand normal hearing people by actions, own-made signs, lip reading and gestures that is a complex way to interpret one person specially in the deaf's side point of view.
This article that I started to write hopefully reaches to all and I hope it would help to start to make a difference.
